Freestyling with Diamond Dotz

I may have to come back and update this post with more photos in the future but I am still super into doing Diamond Dotz, whether with a kit or freestyling. Keep reading to see the projects that have been done lately by myself and Tony's nieces.

While we were in Lava Hot Springs for Tony's family reunion in August, one of his nieces picked the cover of her book to decorate the title with Diamond Dotz. I love how it turned out! I put the glue down for her a bit at a time and she decided the colors and went to work.

I bought a bunch of blank notebooks from Craft Warehouse but only 1 got used so I guess I will bring the rest at Thanksgiving or something. This design was hand drawn on with pencil first and then spruced up with a variety of Dotz.

We stayed at the Aladdin Hotel and there was not anyplace to do crafts except at a table set up outside. It was usually in the evenings that we had time to craft so we got some lights and got busy. Tony's other niece did the back of her phone case around the Apple logo with pastel colored Dotz and it turned out super cute. Sadly I did not get a photo of it besides what you see above.

The second night I pulled out the project I wanted to work on. It's not Diamond Dotz brand I don't think, I got it at a kids craft fair in Midvale Utah for their Harvest Days festival. Once I saw the owl, I knew I had to buy it! It was $5 for the kit and it's been really fun to put together so far. A lifesaver, especially when working in not great lighting, is to use a light board. This one from Cricut is rechargeable and has various light brightness levels. I used it on the dimmest setting here and it worked wonderfully.

Here's an extra treat of a cockatiel Diamond painting I did this summer. Not freestyle but still really cute!
